IMPACT IS
IN OUR DNA

From climate change to our health, the global food system plays an outsized role – and it’s also where we can make outsized impact. Across the supply chain, food is responsible for one third of all global greenhouse gas emissions. It’s a force behind both rampant chronic disease and hunger. And the security of our food system is quickly becoming one of the greatest challenges facing nations worldwide.

At PeakBridge, impact has been part of our DNA from day one. It’s an integral part of our due diligence and investment processes, with predefined sustainability KPIs for all our portfolio companies, and part of our performance fee tied to achieving those goals. Impact is also part of our framework for portfolio management, as we support our companies on their journey to achieve their targets. As our companies grow, so does their impact.

WE AIM TO MOVE THE NEEDLE
ACROSS THESE 5 SDGs

PeakBridge operates SFDR Article 8 and 9 funds, with oversight from a dedicated Impact Committee, helping to integrate ESG principles into our investments, enhancing our measurement framework for transparency and accountability, and empowering our portfolio companies to maximize impact.

OUR INVESTMENT PHILOSOPHY

Our vision is to lead the charge in building a future where food technologies not only drive financial success, but also serve as catalysts for meaningful change. Our investment focus is driven by unique pain points we have identified along the Agri-Food value chain from the perspective of the consumer, industrial players, and impact. That means companies with scalable, proprietary technology and demonstrated long-term positive impact on food systems, the environment, and our health.

We invest in 5 targeted sectors that we have identified as high impact, with rapid scaling capacity:

Ingredient Innovations

Innovating for improved ingredients or solving challenges of existing ones such as supply, quality, cost, nutrition, impact and regulatory.

Alternative Protein Technologies

Providing sustainable alternatives to animal proteins, focusing on technological enablers or technologically-differentiated products.

Digitalization & Food System 4.0

Transforming the post-harvest supply chain, from industry traceability, safety, manufacturing and retail, to consumer data & applications.

Nutrition & Health

Improving nutritional decisions, consumer health and wellness through products or services with proven health benefits.

Alternate Farming Systems

Reinventing production of food sources, by altering growing systems for non-crop sources, or for existing crops.
